Meet Kassie Rainford.

Hi! I’m Kassie, one of the Project Managers at Forge3.

I am a proud graduate of Pennsylvania State University, where I majored in communications and public relations, with a minor in kinesiology. I loved my time living in State College, eating at the Creamery and the Tavern, and of course, going to PSU football games…WE ARE…PENN STATE! It’s also where I met my husband, Ben, in a ski class.

One of my first jobs out of college was working at Rodale, Inc. in book and magazine marketing. The healthy living lifestyle at Rodale was an excellent cultural fit for me. The Cafe there was the best, with a new assortment of fresh organic options daily! There were so many fun things I was able to try while working there with all the proper equipment and toys at my disposal; cross-country skiing, road biking, and snowshoeing to name a few. I even got to wear-test running sneakers for Runner’s World Magazine from all different sneaker manufacturers! My favorite brand is Saucony Hurricanes, by the way.

When my husband and I decided to have a family, I chose to stay home to raise our children for a few years. Those nine years flew by! After that, I went to work at an elementary school for Title 1 Reading. I loved working with the children. Seeing them learn and grow was so fulfilling! I was sad to leave those students, but I was ready for more!

So, I came to work at Forge3! I enjoy the unexpected nature of my job. Talking to new people each day and continually learning more about the web world, different applications, SEO, etc., which keeps me moving and engaged!

When I’m not working, I love almost anything sports-related and being active with my family and friends. I love coaching my daughter’s teams in field hockey and lacrosse. We also enjoy baking together. Family vacations are the best! When I have free time, I love to play golf, run, or do yoga. The kids and I like to play pickleball together on sunny days. Our neighborhood also has an annual kickball party at the end of each summer that puts the parents versus the kids. It’s a highlight each year, fun times!
