About J.L. Hubbard Insurance and Bonds
J.L. Hubbard Insurance and Bonds is an agency based out of Illinois. They’ve been around since 1957, and pride themselves on their expertise in business insurance and surety bonds.
We had the pleasure of working with J.L. Hubbard a few months ago to develop and launch their insurance agency website using the ActiveAgency platform (here’s more information if you need an ActiveAgency refresher).
As we all know, success in the insurance industry is about forming relationships. That’s why first impressions are so important. J.L. Hubbard saw the opportunity to create a great first impression with an updated website based on the ActiveAgency platform, and they jumped on it!
Prior to launching ActiveAgency, J.L. Hubbard’s website lacked a few important things: mobile responsiveness and SSL security. These items may seem minor, but ultimately they can make or break a great first impression on the web.
What are mobile responsiveness and SSL security, you ask?
Imagine you are visiting a website on your phone and the menu is being cut off due to the size of the screen. Wouldn’t that be frustrating?
Now imagine that you are in the process of submitting an online form with your personal contact information when you notice the words “Not Secure” in red at the top of your screen. How likely would you be to press the submit button?
J.L. Hubbard saw that more could be done to make the best first impression possible using their website, so they signed up to be a part of our first group of ActiveAgency Launch Partners.
As you’ve probably guessed, with the launch of J.L. Hubbard’s new ActiveAgency site, we were able to solve the problems mentioned above while also adding powerful (and very cool) sales tools like Clickable Coverage, Hello Producer and more. They’re making a much better first impression now!
Their site also became mobile responsive, which ensures that website visitors can see the site way it is intended to be seen, no matter what their screen size is (aka: no need to worry about menu items being cut off). And SSL security features were added, which has created a safe and secure environment for clients to submit information (website visitors see a little green padlock that reads “Secure” instead of the scary red warning text).
One of the coolest features of the new J.L. Hubbard site is the impactful visual presence of their homepage. Instead of a standard still photo, J.L. Hubbard chose to use an animated video in their homepage header. It’s pretty awesome. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed.
