I don’t have time for this

“I don’t have time” is, by far, the #1 “reason” we hear for why good people, just like you, give up on marketing. The only problem is that it isn’t really a reason. Let me explain.

The “too busy” translator

90% of the time, “I don’t have time” can be translated into this:

I’m overwhelmed and confused. I don’t know where to start. I’ll worry about it some other time. Maybe this social media thing will go away.

As surprising as this sounds, we LOVE talking with people like this. Why? Because they simply need to be educated. This newfangled online marketing stuff isn’t as confusing as it first sounds. It just needs to be explained, in plain English, by someone that understands it and has the expertise and experience to implement it. We’re really good at that.

Are you “too busy” or too busy?

If you’re really too busy for marketing, then you’re also too busy to take on more work. You don’t need marketing. You need a new hire.

Agree?
