As you may have noticed, LinkedIn is looking a little bit different these days. Okay… not just a little bit. A LOT different.
The new design is focused on simplifying user experience and bringing content and conversations to the forefront (think: easier communication with prospective clients). Here are just a few of the new/updated features:
- Trending/relevant content
- More detailed info about who’s viewing your content
- Updated messaging features
- Easier navigation
If you haven’t noticed already, LinkedIn’s new look is reminiscent of Facebook—and this isn’t by accident.
LinkedIn’s senior director of experience, Amy Parnell, was interviewed by Wired about these similarities. She said that the best way to simplify user experience is to give people something they already understand.
In other words: If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
News to me…
Haven’t gotten the updated profile yet? Don’t worry. It’s coming your way soon. LinkedIn is slowly rolling out their updated user interface (UI), so you should see the changes hit your account very soon!
