How does the billing work for my ActiveAgency website?
ActiveAgency includes everything you need to compete in today’s world. Proven sales tools, powerful features, one-of-a-kind Dashboard, and award-winning support.
When does the billing start?
Monthly billing begins the day that you sign up for ActiveAgency (not the day your website launches). This helps us cover a small portion of the upfront work and related expenses allocated to your website project. Remember, ActiveAgency is highly customized for your insurance agency. This requires the work of a dedicated Project Manager, Content Manager, Visual Designer, and others along the way. But the end result is most definitely worth it!
How do I pay for ActiveAgency?
ActiveAgency accounts are set up on automatic billing using your credit card, debit card, or checking or savings account (here’s the secure form to set it up for your account). Once in place, we process payments monthly and send you a receipt for your records. This is our preferred way to handle payments since it’s the most efficient for both you and us. It saves paper, reduces mailing costs, eliminates manual check processing, prevents lost checks, and solves other issues.
How do I set up automatic payments or update my payment information?
Use our secure form to provide your credit card, debit card, or checking or savings account information.
What happens if my automatic payment fails?
The most common reasons for failed payments are due to expired credit/debit cards or insufficient funds in a checking or savings account. If this happens, we will contact you via email and phone letting you know that payment has failed on your account and that we need updated payment information as soon as possible, but within 7 days. If we don’t hear back or are unable to contact you, we will suspend your account. If we still don’t have your updated payment information after 15 days, your account will be cancelled and your website deleted. If your payment fails due to insufficient funds, a $30 fee will be added to your next invoice or payment. This covers the “bounced check” fee that we incur.
Is it possible to mail a physical check or pay manually instead of using automatic payments?
Under certain circumstances, manual payments may be allowed. If approved, we’ll email you an invoice each month. You can use the button in the invoice to pay online or send us a physical check in the mail. Either way, make sure we receive payment prior to the due date to prevent account suspension, late fees, and other penalties.
When your invoice becomes past due, we will contact you via email and phone to resolve the past due balance. If we don’t receive payment after 7 days, a late fee will be applied, your ActiveAgency account will be suspended, and your website will be inaccessible to everyone. If still unpaid after 15 days, your ActiveAgency account will automatically be canceled and your website will be deleted.
If your account goes past due on multiple occasions, we may require that you set up automatic payments going forward.
Can I pause my account?
No, not currently. You will need to cancel your account.
How do I cancel my ActiveAgency account?
There are no long-term contracts, and you may cancel at anytime (here’s the form). However, cancelling your account has its risks. Please read the following carefully!
- Your website’s search rankings (SEO) will likely be negatively impacted.
- All sales tools, servicing tools, and other features will be deleted and made unavailable.
- Website visitors will see an error message unless you have a replacement website.
- You are not allowed to copy ActiveAgency content, features, or design from your website.
- All monthly subscription fees are non-refundable.
You are welcome to return in the future at anytime. However, please note that if your website was not launched prior to account cancellation, we may need to restart the production project from the beginning. On the other hand, if your website was launched prior to cancellation, we will likely be able to restore the website from our backups. Either way, any outstanding account balances will need to be paid in full prior to reinstating your account.
