How to make updates on your own

Your ActiveAgency website is built on the rock-solid WordPress publishing platform. As a result, you have extensive access to make changes to your website at anytime.

Log in to ActiveAgency

To do anything mentioned below, you first need to log in. To do that, add wp-admin to the end of your website address, like this:

https://f3agency.com/wp-admin

NOTE: Replace f3agency.com with your website address, of course!

Enter your username and password. If you don’t remember it, click the Lost your password? link to reset it. Or, contact us.

Once you’re logged in, you’re ready to get rolling!

How to create video proposals

NOTE: We can create special users who only have access to Video Proposals. They cannot see video proposals that other users create, nor can they edit pages or other sections of the website. Use the form at the bottom of the page to have us add users.

1. Click Add New in the left menu to launch the screen recorder.

2. Click OK or Allow if prompted. If this is your first recording, you’ll need to install the software first.

3. You can record your screen, webcam or both. Select the recorder frame size and desired mic. Drag-and-drop the recorder frame on your screen. Click Rec to start recording.

4. Record your screen and/or webcam. Click the pause button to stop the recording.

5. If you’re finished, click Done. To start over, click the trashcan icon. Or, to resume your recording, click Rec.

6. Enter the Video Title and Notes. Both of these are shown to your recipient. Click Upload once ready.

7. Wait for your video to upload to ActiveAgency. Then, click Done.

8. Return to ActiveAgency. Copy-and-paste the details into an email to your recipient. To view the recording yourself, copy the password and click View Video Proposal.

9. Paste the password you just copied into the field and click Submit.

10. Admire your incredible video! 😉If Hello Producer is active on your website, you’ll see your contact info on the page.

11. To access all of your recordings, return to ActiveAgency and click All Video Proposals in the left menu. Click the info icon to see the link and password again. Page Views shows how many times your recipient accessed the page. Click Edit to change the video title, notes or password.

12. Click the pencil icon to edit the video title and notes. Change the page password in the right panel. Click Update to save your changes.

How to update pages

1. Click All Pages in the left menu and click Edit on the page you’d like to update in the listing.

2. Make the desired updates using the editing tools available. Use the pencil icon to edit existing content.

3. Update the content as you’d like. Save changes and then click Update to publish your updates.

How to update the blog

1. Click Add New in the left menu and enter your blog title and content. Set featured image, as desired.

2. If desired, choose the featured image for the post. Use the same size across all of your blog posts.

3. Click Set featured image to attach the featured image to your blog post.

4. Review everything and click Publish to save your changes and post the blog article.

How to update team members

1. Click Add New in the left menu and enter the team member information.

Most fields are self explanatory. Here are the more unique ones:

  • Hello Producer Tag
    This is the “tag” the team member can use to personalize your website with his/her contact information.
  • Department / Location
    Be consistent with these since they are often used to categorize team members on your website.
  • LinkedIn Profile Address
    Enter the link to the team member’s LinkedIn profile page.
  • vCard
    This isn’t used much anymore, but you can upload a vCard for website visitors to download.
  • Notes
    This is shown next to the team member on your website.
  • Featured
    This setting is used to tell ActiveAgency how to display the team member on your website.
  • Hidden
    If you want Hello Producer functionality but don’t want to show the team member on the website, select Yes.
  • Text Area
    If you’d like the team member to have a bio, enter it here.

2. If desired, click All Team Members in the left menu and drag-and-drop to order team members.

How to update carriers

1. Click Add New in the left menu and enter the carrier information.

Most fields are self explanatory. Here are the more unique ones:

  • Carrier Type / Location
    Be consistent with these since they are often used to categorize carriers on your website.
  • Notes
    This is shown next to the carrier on your website.

2. If desired, click All Carriers in the left menu and drag-and-drop to order carriers.

Updates that may require a bit more

The following are the type of changes that may require additional work outside of what’s included. We scope and price the work once we better understand the details of what you have in mind.

Global Website Changes
Changing colors, fonts, pages, addresses or anything else across the site is likely quite involved.

Homepage Redesign
Adding some little text is fine, but we’ll need to talk if the changes are more substantial.

Page Layout Changes
Changing the way pages are structured usually requires a bit of work.

Other Unusual Changes
Since each ActiveAgency website is unique, other changes may also require extra work.

ActiveAgency Refresh

If your website has been around for a while, you may want to update the entire design to better match the latest-and-greatest version of ActiveAgency.

We handle this as a new project, just like we did when we created your current website. For a typical ActiveAgency website, there is a one-time fee of $1,500.
