Step 1: Create your account

  1. Visit analytics.google.com.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • To sign in to your account, enter the email address and password associated with the account.
    • To create an account, click Create account and follow the prompts.

Step 2: Set up a website property

Next, you need to tell Google which website you want to capture data for.

  1. Click Admin.
  2. In the Account column, use the menu to select the account to which you want to add the property.
  3. In the Property column, click Create Property.
  4. Ensure Website is selected.
  5. Enter the Website Name, Website URL, Industry Category (Finance) and Reporting Time Zone.
  6. Click Get Tracking ID.

Step 3: Assign user permissions

We’ll need limited access to your account so we can add Google Analytics to your report. Here’s how to do that.

  1. Click Admin.
  2. In the Account column, use the menu to select the account to which you want to grant access.
  3. In the Property column, use the menu to select the website to which you want to grant access.
  4. Click User Management.
  5. Click + (at the top right) and select Add new users.
  6. Enter team@forge3.com, ensure Notify new users by email is selected and check Edit.
  7. Click Add.
